Estimating location via shadow analysis.

A lot of public photos have no usable location metadata. This project builds a tool that estimates location from shadows: length, direction, and how they fall relative to objects in the frame.

It combines sun-position math with other visible cues such as buildings, street features, and terrain, then narrows candidate areas against maps and reference imagery.

We are building it for investigative journalists and geolocation analysts who need estimates inside their existing workflow, without jumping out to a separate external site.
